A. Yes, pre-EQ2 my husband and I met a group of role-players that didn't live too far away. We traveled to meet them and visited again the next year!

Q. Other than your console or PC, what is the piece of hardware you can't live without? (Answer!)
A. My digital camera.

Q. Where did you get your gaming names from? (Answer!)
A. I tend to go to a name database, find meanings I think suit the character I am working on and either choose one I like, or combine 2 or more. My staple names: Vanity, Phantess and Sephora; the first two were suggested by my husband, the third, I don't know where I got it from but later learned it is the name of a cosmetics company. Liese is a more recent name and I got it from a database.

Q. What do you love or hate about PVP? (Answer!)
A. I love the competitiveness that comes with PvP - both the &quot;rivals&quot; that can come with it and the friendly banter among guildmates about who is better.</p><p >I hate the ganking of lowbies and un-provoked corpse camping.

Q. How do you feel about playing characters of the opposite sex? (Answer!)
A. It's hard for me to get into playing a male character. I've always role-played dominant females and I find it hard to identify with a male personality. As far as other people who can do it, I think it's great that they are able to portray the opposite sex with any success. </p><p >However, I also resent males who play females only to manipulate other males. Not only does it negatively reflect of real females but it's also sad that someone would go to such lengths to hurt another person.

Q. When you are not playing games, what do you do for fun? (Answer!)
A. When I'm not playing games, I enjoy spending time with my son and husband, reading, watching movies, working out, and shopping (what girl doesn't!!).

Q. If you could bring any book, movie or comic to life in a game, which would you choose? (Answer!)
A. I absolutely LOVE Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake series. I think it would be great fun to go through the stories in a single player game.</p><p >For an MMO, I think the world that Jacqueline Carey wrought for the Kushiel series could be beautifully portrayed.

Q. What are your thoughts on roleplaying in games? (Answer!)
A. I love role-playing in games where it is encouraged from the beginning by the developments persistent inclusion of the storyline every step of the game, as well as the community encouragement. I found it very difficult to RP in WoW, mostly because of the sheer numbers of players new to the MMO scene as well as the more dastardly players doing everything in their power to thwart most RP attempts.

A. 10-20

Q. Are you interested in working within the game industry? (Answer!)
A. If the opportunity presented itself, sure. I need a job, but the gaming industry is not something I'm actively pursuing.
